I am a fitness professional with over 20 years of teaching experience. I have my BS in Health and Sport Science form Wake Forest University and my MA in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I began teaching various fitness classes in graduate school to undergraduates as part of their Physical Education requirements. I taught Tennis (having played in High School), Jogging and Aerobics courses as noted below. I loved teaching Aerobics classes so much that I decided to become certified and underwent the Group Exercise Instructor certification through AFAA after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have taught various class formats ever since and over the years got certified to teach Spinning/Cycle classes and Yoga. I took an unexpected and unwelcome hiatus from teaching due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting in March of 2020 and did not feel comfortable returning until vaccinated and boosted. Up until then I regularly taught a combination Cardiobox/Sculpt class at Fitness World and Flow Yoga at Carrboro Yoga Company. I am now ready to get back to teaching classes again.
