Alisa Michelle

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Alisa Michelle began her Pilates training in the professional program at The School of Toronto Dance Theater. While still in Canada, she had the pleasure of studying with Sagrario Castilla, Rucsandra Mitrea, Diane Miller and Irene Dowd. After moving to the Bay Area in 2001, she studied with Ellie Herman and later completed her certification program. Alisa has performed with a number of Bay Area Dance Companies including Shift>>>Physical Theater and Emspace Dance. In 2002 Alisa founded Bay Area dance company, Company Mecanique Dance Theater performing the works of Sara Shelton-Mann, Manuelito Biag, Motion Lab's Kathleen Hermesdorf, Yannis Adoniou, and Raisa Punkki. Alisa continues through her work in pilates and dance to persue her passion for movement.
