Yoga has been part of my life for over 20 years now.  I was initially drawn to yoga after a car accident that left me with multiple injuries.  Yoga became a very important part of my healing journey.  Through this process I fell in love with yoga and could not wait to become an instructor in order to share it with everyone!  I have been teaching yoga in the Kripalu tradition for a little over 10 years now.  Kripalu means compassion.  Kripalu yoga is about practicing compassion towards ourselves so that it may radiate ourwards towards other people.  The way we practice compassion in the class is by tuning inward and listening to the messages our body is sending us - giving ourselves full permission to honor those messages without judgement.  Teaching is such a passion of mine.  I love to share of the gift of yoga with others and observing its transformative powers in their lives.  In todays busy world, yoga invites us to deepen the breath, quiet the mind, relax the body and open the heart......

 

When not practicing or teaching yoga, I enjoy distance running and doing races.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and completed a Doctorate in Pastoral Community Counseling a few years ago.
