Christine is a 200 Hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance having completed her certification in 2021 through My Vinyasa Practice out of Austin, Texas. Christine began her yoga journey around 2015 after many years of dance training, wanting to maintain her flexibility, strength, and balance.
She began teaching community classes intermittently a few months after completing the certification process. Not long thereafter Christine was teaching two classes on a weekly basis, leading community classes once or twice a month, and even subbing for other teachers on their sick or vacation days. (Talk about jumping in head-first!!)
With her unique dance and fitness background, Christine’s classes are typically a mix of balancing positions, slow Vinyasa-style flows, long and controlled holds, and micro-movements that will challenge a seasoned practitioner yet be accessible to any new yogi. Best yet, there are always moments of “play time” where she will slip in something entirely different or complex to push her students out of their comfort zones while ensuring they never quite take themselves too seriously while doing so.
Christine earned her 20-hour Yin Yoga certification in 2022, 8-hour Stand Up Paddleboard certification in July 2023, and her 50-hour Pranayama certification in October 2023. She teaches aerial yoga in addition to SUPY, vinyasa, and yin.
