My name is Brandy Childress and I have been in the fitness industry since 2000. I began my fitness journey in my living room with a book on body weight exercises to build strength. I have participated in a variety of fitness classes since then from Zumba to Crossfit. Eventually I found my way to yoga to enhance my flexibility. Because of the practice, I have altered my relationships and possibilities for my own life.
I began teaching in 2020 to my neighbors as a way to provide relief and community. Teaching yoga has been as much of a growth opportunity for me as the physical practice. Yoga has taught me that sometimes you have to let go and know everything is going to be alright. Every time I have, it has been incredible.
I am a full-time social worker who supports individuals with developmental disabilities. I also take every opportunity to get in nature. I am here to share love and to teach as many people as possible to lead a fulfilling life where they can heal and accept love as they are. As a teacher other say I am, “steady, calm, and funny”. My classes are challenging but accessible to all.
