Katie HosbachCertified 200RYT Yoga Instructor - After taking my first yoga class back in 2009, I knew yoga would be a part of my life forever. What I love most is the balanced benefit physical strength and flexibility yoga provides, but also the calm that I can take off my mat into my everyday life. Throughout my yoga journey, I discovered so much about myself because it allowed me to slow down and reflect. Yoga teacher training was an amazing opportunity that allowed me to dive even deeper into my personal practice and understanding of yoga. Personally, yoga shows up in so many ways for me; peace, gratitude, breath, meditation, play, release, awareness, healing, health, community. Every day is unique and each time we arrive at our mat we might need something different from that experience. Honoring our bodies, for both its weaknesses and its strengths, can teach us to live in the moment and let go of judgements and limitations we put on ourselves. Through yoga I have learned to keep a beginner’s mindset; to let go of ego, and to never give up. Yoga has helped me develop deeper resilience and perseverance and opened me up to so much gratitude for every moment, big or small.
