Tracy Madigan

Tracy Madigan is a certified EYT 500. She is co-founder and Executive Director of The Sattva Project, a 501(c)(3) in Chattanooga, TN whose mission is to bring yoga to all—fostering healing, harmony, community + personal transformation. The organization brings trauma-informed yoga to local jails, substance abuse recovery centers and offers free or pay-what-you-can community classes. She is a former spin instructor, and personal trainer with SPENGA (spin/strength/yoga), as well as a current heated vinyasa, trauma-informed, and restorative yoga teacher with Yoga Landing. Tracy has previous experience teaching yoga in the formats of vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga as an instructor with Peach Out Power Yoga, and Lift Yoga in metro Atlanta, GA. She is also certified in self-awakening and hot elemental yoga. She possesses extensive experience in breathwork and guided meditation.

Her teaching philosophy lies evenly in the crosshairs of the Sakyong Mipham quote, “The body benefits from movement, and the mind from stillness”, and she finds incomparable joy in leading others home to themselves…toward equanimity, a better understanding of each students’ unique and inimitable mind and body, the universal law that reminds us “we are all one”, and the interstices of compassion, stillness, and  “asteya”…gratitude for the present moment.

Tracy lives in Chattanooga, TN with her French Bulldog, Muchacha (Moo). She enjoys hiking, adventuring, kayaking, dancing, all forms of yoga, meditation, eating plants, and having crushes on books and skillfully placed words.
