I am a graduate of the 200-hour Teacher Training program at Yoga Kula in Berkley. It is an Anusara based program. I have been practicing yoga for fourteen years. I currently have 70 logged hours through Yoga Alliance, and prior to my certification I taught 90 hours both in person, and via Zoom. My Passion is vinyasa flow, and Hatha. I was drawn to the practice after having been invited by a friend. After attending my first class I was hooked! Prior to attending training, I worked as a registered nurse for over twenty-five years. Eighteen of which was direct patient care in the emergency setting at various facilities. The last seven years I worked as a nurse administrator for Kaiser Permanente. After my husband retired from a thirty-year career in the fire service I too chose to step away from my career as a hospital administrator and pursue my passion of yoga, as a teacher.
I bring an energetic approach to my classes. I am dedicated and committed to creating classes that are challenging to advanced students, and accessible for beginners. I work to help students meet themselves where they are each day. I employ a diverse playlist for my classes that link breath to music. I enjoy teaching all levels of students and spend time developing my classes so that they are fun and engaging. I am motivated, energetic, lighthearted, dedicated, flexible, and easy going.
