Sharon Mandel, Registered Yoga Alliance RYT500 Yoga Instructor
In 2016 my yoga journey began as a quest to learn how to mange my anxious tendencies and hypersensitive nature. I took a life changing class “Yoga for Anxiety” by Ashley Turner from The Center for Yoga Psychology. The connection I made with my body, breath and intense emotions began to pique a deeper curiosity. I enrolled in the International Yoga School - Kula Collective to learn more about asana and yoga philosophy. After completing my 200hour training I continued to follow Ashley’s teachings of yoga psychology and soon realized the need to expand my knowledge of the neuroscience behind the profound effects that breath work, mindful movement, meditation and yogic philosophy have on improving mental health. Since completing my 300 hour YTT for Yoga Psychology I have been weaving these invaluable teachings into my daily life and the yoga classes that I teach. I believe that by cultivating a deeper understanding of ourselves, others and the environment in which we live we are able to find peace with what is, moment to moment, in this ever-changing nature of life. My mission is to help others create mental clarity and calmness, increase body awareness and relieve anxiety by integrating western psychology, neuroscience and yoga philosophy.
