I started doing yoga as a “yin” to my CrossFit “yang”. I saw it as a way to heal my body and keep my muscles and joints healthy through the intensity of CrossFit.
Yoga has given me so much more than that. The practice has been part of a healing journey for me – one that involved letting go and letting myself BE. I have worked through many challenges on my mat. I found connection with my body and mind and sweat out guilt, pain, grief and uncertainty. For those moments and hours after a yoga practice, all is right with the world. This is the feeling I hope to bring to others and is why I chose to pursue teaching. My hope for everyone is that you find your connection and leave your mat feeling a little more balanced, more powerful, and more accepting of yourself and those around you.
