jordyne rauter

My name is Jordyne Rauter, i am 18 years old from Canberra, Australia and am currently doing my pilates/ group fitness certification at National Pilates Training in Australia. I have been involved in sport since a very young age, and competing at a national level for triathlon, cross country and athletics, which is what inspired me to gain a qualification in Pilates/ group fitness training as it is something i have enjoyed for years as an injury prevention exercise. Currently I am studying at university at The Australian National University, doing a Bachelor of International Business, and am also training as an elite triathlete. I have always been a very hardworking, motivated person who loves fitness and loves sharing my passion to live a healthy lifestyle. My active lifestyle is what sparked my interest in the fitness/ sports industry, and in-particular in pilates teaching/ running group fitness classes to inspire others to live a healthier, more active lifestyle. I love running, swimming, cycling, hiking, and doing yoga and pilates classes, and want to inspire others to do something active weekly for their own well-being and overall health.

From previous jobs as a swim instructor, I have learnt how to motivate and encourage others to try new things and to give things ago, which I believe is what will help me succeed in a job as a pilates and group fitness instructor. From being a swim instructor for those aged 3-17, I have the ability and knowledge to adapt my classes to people of all different ability levels, including those with injuries - this is enhanced by my injury management knowledge as I have managed a number of different injuries over my years of competing. Given my years of experience as a triathletes, I also have the knowledge and skills to be able to run cycle classes at varying abilities and difficulties as well as stretching/ morning flow classes, as stretching has been a daily part of my training routine and is programmed in collaboration with sports specialists and physiotherapists.
