I have always been a seeker.  Growing up in beautiful Moldova, I was always looking for meaning, symbols and secrets hidden in the natural world in the world of those around me. Sometimes I caught glimpses of what you might call the vastness or universal love or divine moments of truth. I sometimes saw people living authentically happy lives enjoying the little things and being grateful for them, so l knew it was possible. I knew anything was possible. Anything could happen.  My first yoga class took place in a gym setting. An auspicious beginning, for certain. Since then, under the guidance of skillful teachers and the lens of my own devoted curiosity, my practice has evolved, unfolded and continues to do so with daily practice.  I began teaching yoga in 2016 after becoming certified to teach through the Yava Yoga School  in Virginia. I have taught in many gyms around DC metropolitan area to people of all ages and fitness levels and I like to make my classes fit for anyone, offering modifications.
During pandemic I have found myself teaching a lot of private classes. Both in person and remote. I have taught kids yoga and have thoroughly enjoyed this experience, as there's nothing that can quite compare to their energy level and desire to learn.
I am honored to  be able to teach my students of all ages how to find peace within themselves and discover muscles they did not know they had! I am honored to be a student and learn something new from every person I meet.
What I mostly like about yoga is that it is a mirror for all of us. Through body experiences we reach out minds.  There is no end goal in yoga, no pose to  achieve and be prefect in, no one to compare yourself to. It is your own journey that is the most important.  You must poses an attitude of self discovery, be open minded to any experience on and off the mat and remember - it is all about practice and not perfection.
