Alexandra (Alex) began practicing yoga in 2014 as part of her commitment to a healthier lifestyle and quickly discovered the benefits of yoga go far beyond a physical workout. A barre workout enthusiast and former competitive ballroom dancer, Alex was drawn to power yoga / Baptiste style yoga as it combined a challenging workout with vinyasa flow movements.
Inspired to take her yoga journey to the next level, Alex enrolled in Power Yoga Teaching Training program at Real Hot Yoga and completed her 200hr power yoga training under the guidance of Justeen Nason, Michelle Porter, and Brandy Boffa. Although she originally intended the complete YTT to deepen her personal practice, the COVID pandemic allowed her a unique opportunity to start teaching virtual and outdoor classes while she was working from home at her corporate job. By the end of 2020, Alex was teaching three power yoga classes a week at Real Hot and picking up sub opportunities, turning a personal hobby into a professional yoga teacher journey.
Alex strives to elevate your yoga class experience through a high energy, playful flow that focuses on breath, strengthening exercises, proper alignment, and upbeat music. As a mom of an active toddler, through yoga Alex challenges herself and her students to practice mindfulness on and off the mat.
