KELLY HOVORKA has dedicated her life to helping others. She has over 38 years’ experience as a full-time RN specializing in geriatric psychiatry.
She has been training in martial arts for over a decade, and holds the rank of second degree black belt in both Okinawa karate and kobudo. She has taught karate to adults and children, and was put in charge of running her school’s tournament team, which, under her supervision, went on to compete in and win a number of international tournaments.
A lifelong athlete, Kelly spent her youth and young adult life playing baseball and competing as a figure skater.
In 2021, Kelly graduated from the Exhale and Thrive School of Yoga after having completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training, and is excited to begin her second career as a yoga instructor, using her uncommon life experiences to create a unique brand of yoga.
Her goals and plans for the future include training to become a geriatric life coach. She has two adult children that live in St. Thomas, On.
She currently works at Saint Joseph’s hospital in London and lives in St. Thomas.
