- Sara Allen
Sara has been passionate about fitness, food and healthy living for as long as she can remember. She completed her BSC in Nutrition at UPEI, as well as a diploma in Holistic Nutrition in Vancouver, BC. An athlete since the age of 9, Sara competed in both Synchronized Swimming and Speed Swimming until the age of 25. Using Yoga and Pilates as cross training tools for many years, made Barre a perfect fit for her. She loves the different elements of core, cardio, the feedback method and isometric holds combined with mindful movement and a hot fire playlist.
In 2018, Sara completed her Level 1 Barre and Pre Natal Barre certification through the International Ballet Barre Fitness Association (IBBFA). Most recently she completed her Level 1 Move Barre Certification under fitness and barre guru, Alissa Perzow in Montreal, Quebec.
Sara truly believes in the positive physical and emotional outcomes that barre (and fitness) has, as it improved her struggle with lower back pain and lordosis. Moving everyday helps her to stay grounded, focused and happy. She loves to teach and lives for the energetic music, creative movements and group atmosphere. Favouring form and alignment over speed, you can expect a variety of tempos in her class, as well as progressions and modifications to suit all levels of fitness. Get ready to MOVE and get addicted to that burn!
