Lyn C. Wiltshire (MBA, Ph.D.) is a retired Emerita Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, where she has been a faculty member and administrator since 1995. Lyn is a choreographer without a company and has received choreographic national and international awards from the Monticello Foundation and the International Ballet Competition. She has served in administrative positions for over 20 years. At the University of Texas at Austin, she developed the first M.F.A in Dance and the first B.F.A. in Dance Education with Certification in the Department of Theatre and Dance. She has made successful contributions in broadening the global education of dancer majors in the department. She created international exchange programs with Delfos Danza Contemporanea home of the Mazatlan Professional School of Dance (EPDM) one of the most important options for the study of dance in Mexico and Latin-America in Mazatlan, Mexico. Student exchange with El Colegio del Cuerpo in Cartagena, Colombia and the University of Angers affiliate the Centre Nationale de Danse Contemporaine (CNDC) an important institution of contemporary dance in Angers, France. Over the years she has taken members of UT’s award-winning Dance Repertory Theatre to perform at the International Tanzsommer Dance Festival in Austria, with side tours of Germany and Italy. Lyn currently divides her year between Nice, France and the United States.
