Jen is a compassionate teacher, leading from a healing perspective. Spending 29 years as a physical therapist assistant, brings her significant insight, understanding of life’s challenges, while her anatomy knowledge helps her guide clients in a positive and playful way. She appreciates and values the amazing importance of bringing yoga to all, guiding with a strong but gentle spirit. She is a yoga therapist, working 1:1 with individuals to help them attain personal goals through a yogic lens. She teaches grief yoga and is a grief educator. Acknowledging our lives will bring struggle. How we move through them helps our hearts and creates a path forward. She has been involved in mission work in the states and in Haiti. Jen recognizes the simple blessings of daily life. When at home, she shares life with her husband, daughter & son-in-law and two dogs. She loves to continue to grow and learn; teaching in a physical therapist assistant program. Jen believes it’s a great day when you have new experiences and spontaneous adventure! Play is a must!
Jen has facilitated over 1000 hours of yoga since 2022. Leading vinyasa flow, Slow Flow, Gentle Flow, Yin, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Meditation. She is a candidate for C-IAYT, studying with Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy School. As a lifelong learner, healthcare professional, Faculty for a Physical Therapist Assistant Program and wellness advocate, Jen looks at health through a wide lens. She believes that yoga has helped save her life. The practices of yoga have given her the opportunity and ability to come back from a devastating Covid illness in 2020, which changed her life forever. It sounds cliche to say we should look for gratitude in the little things, however, research does suggest that we are happier when we try to do this…Jen lives life with gratitude overflowing.
