My name is Lisa Kobb, and I am married with three children, ages 17, 15, and 11. I live in Ohio, and I have been a Group Fitness Instructor for ten years at two local fitness centers in the area (Tallmadge Recreation Center, Tallmadge, OH and The Natatorium, Cuyahoga Falls, OH), where I love teaching Latin Dance Fitness, Sculpting, and Barre Class every week. Additionally I enjoy helping to cover Bootcamp, Step Aerobics, and Zumba classes as a fitness sub. Recently I have also become a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and am excited to work with individuals towards obtaining their personal fitness goals.
Exercise has always been an important part of my life growing up as a child and through my adulthood. At a young age of 5, I began taking dance lessons in tap, ballet, and jazz, and I continued this into my high school years. During high school I participated in cheerleading and played on the girls' soccer team. As I began my college years I started running and lifting weights for exercise, while also being a part of the college dance team. I continued running through my 20's, completing several 5k races, and then I began to take fitness classes during my pregnancies and postpartum. After having my third child, I decided to make fitness part of my career by earning my Zumba Basic license. From there I have branched out by training and teaching in a variety of different areas of fitness. I have personally experienced many of the health benefits that staying active has to offer, and it is my passion to help others find ways of exercise that they not only enjoy, but also can reap the short-term and lifelong benefits.
