Jayci has been a student in the practice and principles of yoga since 2010. She decided to begin yoga at a point in her life when she was looking for a way to self-reflect and gain a deeper understanding of her purpose in life. Jayci found that yoga is not only perfect for physical fitness, but is also a powerful tool for inspiring others to overcome the obstacles they are facing on their life journey.

To deepen her knowledge of yoga, Jayci completed the Jiivana (L.I.F.E.) Yoga® 200-hour teacher training under the instruction of her guru, Dana A. Smith, founder of Spiritual Essence Yoga & Wellness Center in Upper Marlboro, MD.  Jayci's style of teaching is based upon the Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Vinyasa methods of yoga.  Jayci provides a peaceful, inclusive space where her students are compassionately guided in their yoga practice without the feeling of judgment and being held to how the world defines yoga. She wants to positively impact the life of every person she encounters and encourage them to unlock the inner greatness they were born with through a yoga practice that is harmonious and intentional.

Her journey doesn’t stop there though! She believes that continuous, lifelong learning is a fundamental attribute of being a yogi. For this reason, she not only sees herself as a teacher, but also as a student — forever growing, developing and evolving.
