- Laura Coen
Laura believes that individuals can experience a mindful connection to themselves and the world through yoga practice. With a mindful connection to self, both adults and children can feel better, have more self-control, more self-awareness, and a better relationship with themselves. A strong sense of self allows for more stable connections with others. Laura hopes to help individuals become more productive, helpful parts of their community through the practice of yoga.
Laura has completed the 95 hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Certification from Global Family Yoga, and the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program at Prairie Yoga in Lisle, Illinois. She has been teaching yoga to adults and children since 2014. In the past she has been a climbing instructor for a high ropes course, taught students to use computers at a rural elementary school in Montana, and lead martial arts classes for both adults and children in San Francisco. She currently teaches yoga at Marys River Grange, in Philomath, Oregon, and to the high school track and cross country team.
Laura lives on Windy Hill Farm in Philomath, Oregon, with her two children and a menagerie of farm animals. She and her family raise dairy goats, make cheese, and are passionate about gardening. She also loves to knit.
