Miriam Sandler (E-RYT 500, and YACEP) has always believed in the universal language of movement to bring health to the body, peace to the mind, and joy to the soul. Throughout a career spanning more than 35 years, Miriam has taught creative movement, ballet, jazz, contemporary, and tap dance, as well as aerobics, dance exercise and flexibility and strength training to students of all ages, levels and physical abilities. She began practicing yoga in 2001, hoping to find some relief from her own developing physical challenges. What began as part of the recovery process following spinal surgery, became a practice that opened her heart and mind to a greater level of physical and emotional well being than she could have imagined. Miriam relocated to Bethlehem in the Spring of 2014, having jumped off the proverbial “hamster wheel” that can be New York City, and completed both her 200 Hour and 300 Hour Teacher Training at The Yoga Loft of Bethlehem. Miriam feels deeply grateful for the privilege of teaching yoga. This allows her to combine a lifelong love of teaching movement with her passionate desire to help students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities find their own path to increased physical well being, greater peace of mind, and joy from within. Miriam teaches yoga to students at all levels of experience in multiple yoga studios and communities. In her current role as Director of Teacher Training for The Yoga Loft she trains and certifies 200 Hour and 300 Hour Level teachers to share the practice with a deep commitment to honoring the rich history and lineage of Yoga while creating inclusive and accepting environments for all who wish to practice.
