Laurene Lonnemann

Laurene is the Senior Advisor of Employee Experience, Diversity & Belonging for Elanco Animal Health.  She has worked at Elanco for almost 14 years and previously held roles in Pet Health Global Marketing, Business Transformation, US marketing brand management, and inside sales.  Her prior professional experience includes Technical Services at Harlan Laboratories and Manager of Agricultural Operations at Historic Prophetstown.  

Laurene’s education includes a BS in Animal Sciences from Purdue University’s School of Agriculture, unofficial minor in poultry science through the Midwest Poultry Consortium’s Center of Excellence, a certificate in Animal Assisted Therapy from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

In addition to her "traditional" career, Laurene became Zumba certified in early 2020 and since then has taught a weekly Zumba class for colleagues at Elanco.  In 2022, back in person, she increased that to twice a week and loves improving the physical and mental health of her co-workers through dance!  Additionally, Laurene substitutes a Zumba class occasionally for the Hancock Wellness Center. 

Laurene lives in Greenfield with her husband, Joe, three young children – Murray (8), Suzanne (6) and Lucille (3), two Basset Hounds & Domestic Shorthair. They enjoy gardening and cooking together and generally being outdoors. Before three small children, Laurene was an avid reader (of non-picture books) and hopes to pick that up again someday.
