I first came to my yoga mat in 2011. As an NYU student living amidst the hustle of New York City, I sought an authentic way to cultivate more peace and steadiness in my life while also staying active. It wasn’t until four years later, however, when I started experiencing panic attacks for the first time in my life, that I discovered the innate healing qualities of yoga through movement, meditation, breathwork, and introspection.
I am a firm believer that yoga can be an incredibly powerful therapeutic technique accessible for all by providing a refuge from the external world. My goal as a yoga teacher is to provide students with a safe space to explore the connection between their mind and body by moving while also staying internally grounded. My classes include purposeful meditations and breathwork, moving sequences targeted to open the myofascial lines of the body, and restorative savasanas.
I am a graduate of Zenver Yoga’s 200-hour teacher training. I also volunteer with Yoga for the People, a non-profit that provides free, safe, and accessible yoga to the Denver Metro Area. Outside of yoga, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, photography, water coloring, ceramics, live music, and spending time with loved ones. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy at the University of Colorado Denver.
