Emily Martinez

Emily Martinez has been teaching Hatha Vinyasa and Gentle Yoga since 2020 and has been practicing since 2012. When her children were young, Emily started practicing yoga with YouTube; Yoga with Adriene was one of her first teachers.  Eventually, Emily made her way into a studio class and was completely hooked.  Curious to learn more about yoga philosophy and to deepen her personal practice, Emily signed up for teacher training in 2019 with Jill Griffith’s Barefoot Power Yoga 200hr program. Jill continues to be her teacher and one of her biggest mentors.  Emily has also studied with Tricia Friske, Marinda Stopforth and Rod Stryker. She continues to be inspired by Prairie Yoga's 300hr Advanced Teacher Training. Emily will complete this training in the summer of 2023.

In Emily’s class, you can expect to move through a slow flow with a deep connection to breath and self awareness of the body and mind. Her classes focus on building strength and flexibility with attention to proper alignment . Emily teaches with love, compassion and a touch of playful humor. She creates a space for students to experience the amazing effects of yoga and feel comfortable and confident in their practice.
