Jessica Sinclair

I grew up in the beautiful state of Maine, enjoying all the seasons and what Mother Nature had to offer up to us. I did enjoyed school and sports growing up. I went off to college. I studied food and Nutrition and Social Work. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Social Work and a Minor in Food And Nutrition in 1999.

After college, I worked as a Social Worker with kids and geriatrics. I got married in 2002 and in 2004, I completed my Master's Degree and we moved to Florida. I had a job that I loved there as a Hospice Social Worker, it really put life into perspective and never have I been more grateful for what I had. I became pregnant and had our daughter, Isabella in 2005. Being a mother changed my world completely. This has been my most cherished role. We decided to move back to Maine to be closer to family and raise Bella the way we were raised, close to family and loving all that Maine has to offer. I got a great job with the Veterans Administration as a Clinical Social Worker.

I have always been physically active, either in group fitness or my own outdoor pursuits. It has grounded me throughout my life. In 2019, I decided to pursue a yearning to teach yoga and started my teacher training. It has been such a rewarding and creative outlet for me and I continue to seek more knowledge.

At this stage in my life, I am still working hard for the VA. I am blessed to work from home. My husband also works from home. My daughter, is nearing graduation and I am finding that I have a lot of time on my hands. She no longer needs me all the time and is getting her own life. Yoga has filled this void and has become something that I am so passionate about. I am teaching 3-4 classes a week. I continue to push myself and am a life long learner. I am working on my 300 hr YTT currently and recently became Certified in Alternative Nutrition And Medicine for Mental Health Professionals. We talk a lot about "what next?" in life. My husband and I want to travel as much as we can and may eventually find a place where we can spend part of our winters in.

I feel that life is an adventure, I remain always hopeful and enthusiastic for how it unfolds for me.
