Rosie Pendygraft

My fitness career began as a teenager teaching dance classes as I earned a degree in Modern Dance. However soon thereafter I realized there were not enough hours in the day to earn the salary that I desired by instructing classes.  In 1998 I shifted focus and entered Corporate America as a front-line Flight Attendant and spent the next 24 years serving in various leadership roles to include multiple Director level positions (Operations, Training, Service & Standards, Initiatives & Analytics)

Although my career shifted to Corporate America early on, I continued to participate in as many forms of fitness classes (Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Cross Fit, as well as home fitness programs such as Beach Body, walking and lifting weights).  Unfortunately, as time progressed being a wife, mother, daughter and full-time professional did not allow for me to really focus on my health and commit to a regular pattern of fitness… until Covid.

Covid allowed for me to slow down and shift my perspective.  I opted to take time to focus what is most important, health and fitness!  I quickly realized that life is too short to spend countless hours in a job that was not full-filling nor providing service to others.  I have set out to make it my mission to make a difference through mindfulness, health and fitness. As such I now hold a Group Fitness Instructor Certification through AFAA, the RYT 200 designation from Yoga Alliance (along with a YIN specialty), and am licensed to teach Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning as well Plate by Zumba.

Although on paper I am a novice to instructing yoga and Zumba, I am committed to shaping classes where students feel accepted, guided, challenged and feel joy while working through practice.  Together we will find balance and equilibrium to the body and mind.
