I have loved to dance from a very young age and went on to professional dance training college from the age of 16 to 19 training in Ballet, Tap, Street and Jazz Contemporary dance going on to work as a professional dancer with many pop artists on stage and tv in England and Europe for 15 years.
In my mid twenties I also trained as a fitness instructor and a few years later discovered Zumba. I fell in love with the unique combination of fitness and dance and persuaded the gym where I had been teaching regular aerobics classes to let me try teaching Zumba. Within weeks, classes were full with waiting lists and I was loving teaching Zumba!
A year later I launched my own community classes and have never looked back. I now teach Zumba, Zumba Toning, Fitsteps (a dance fitness class using Ballroom and Latin steps) and Pilates classes across two studios and still love teaching Zumba as much as the day I first taught it.
Being ballet trained, I have always practiced Pilates and decided to train as a Pilates instructor in 2022 with Stott Pilates, following on with training in Pilates Reformer. I now teach mat Pilates and reformer Pilates, which both really complement dance fitness.
