Lucia Fontalba

I discovered yoga while studying in school in Marbella. I was a hyperactive kid, disillusioned by the monotonous school life, and looking for something more meaningful. My close friend's mum had a yoga studio where I began taking classes. It started with two days a week, but within six months, I was a daily student. I soon realized that although I would continue with my studies and become an architect, that yoga had to be part of my daily practice

My first teacher, Estefania Barra, offered a 12-week Yoga Training. I joined initially out of personal interest, but by the end of the first month, I had already made plans that yoga had to be part of my career and side job, not just my hobby.

For me, yoga is about the balance between strength and flexibility, exertion, and releasing. So, my classes would focus on combining both strength and mobility work in a dynamic, Vinyasa Flow style.

I would class myself as a person who can connect well with beginners and people who have never had the experience to partake in any class.

Apart from yoga I have also competed professionally in Crossfit, and volleyball and training as a dancer in Elite studio madrid.
