Kristen Wuerfel

I originally was trained to strictly teach step, and I was the quickest trained aerobic instructor at the Midland Community Center. Upon completing the training process,  I taught my own challenging classes within one month. Since I was in dance from age 3-18, I understood how to cue properly, create routines that were challenging yet fun, and I was passionate about learning how to keep class interesting for the patrons. After teaching mainly step for 2 years, I was ready for a new challenge. I wanted to teach cardio kickboxing. I attended classes 2 days a week, and went to other clubs to compare teaching styles. Within a month, I was subbing for cardio kickboxing classes, and was asked to teach my own class within 3 months. My enjoyment of teaching group fitness classes comes from challenging the patrons with new moves, and making them feel good about themselves. On top of teaching aerobics, I work full-time, I am extremely involved in the community, I play tennis, I am a wife, and I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle on a daily basis. I understand that a person has to balance their personal life, professional life, and spiritual life and live like this everyday.
