Pain Care Aware Specialist
Kristen is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor with over 2000 hours of teaching experience. Kristen is a certified Yoga Therapist through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy, specializing in chronic pain relief while completing her practum portion of her training. As an Anusara-Inspired yoga instructor, Kristen trained under the the lineage of Amy Ippoliti, Karen Sprute-Francovich, Indu Arora, Shanti Shanti Kaur Khalsa, Chinnamasta Stiles, Swami Lisa Pearson, Neil Pearson, and Doug Keller. Combined with a university level education (B.S) in Anatomy, Physiology, and Exercise Science, her teachings focus on optimal alignment for wellness, injury prevention and chronic pain-relief. With a background in healthcare, Kristen provides compassionate individualized attention and dedicated services to promote living fully through a holistic approach.
Anxiety and insomnia brought her to yoga as a pre-teen, remaining a beacon of light during episodes of suicidal depression. Kristen represents a lived experience of how mindful breath, movement, and energetics can heal and empower. She has always shared yoga out of love for the gifts it has given her. Through breath and body awareness, Kristen strives to guide each student toward their own inner resource - a more steady, aware, and peaceful place.
