Bronwen teaches, choreographs, and occasionally performs out of her base in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Always inspired by athletically expressive art forms, she continues to enjoy unlocking skills and their corresponding drills so others may expand their own movement vocabulary and means of expression. She works with yogis, dancers, pole and other aerial artists on developing the technical and artistic aspects of their craft.
Bronwen was raised as a competitive dancer in northern British Columbia, Canada. Her interest in yoga began in her mid-20s after dancing professionally with companies, independent choreographers and companies across Canada. She was a student of SOYA’s 500 hr Yoga training in 2005 and went on to further training while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Oslo, Norway. While in Oslo, she attended several Ashtanga Yoga certification trainings with Manju Jois in Crete, Greece, Ashtanga Yoga Bologna, Italy, and at in Maui, U.S.A. She has also completed a 300 hr Yoga and Ayurveda certificate with Dr. David Frawley of the American Institute of Vedic Studies. Upon her return to Canada, she explored other movement methods applicable to yoga. Training has included the Franklin Method, Ido Portal, Gymnastic Bodies, and private contortion study with Catie Brier, San Francisco. She is certified in Acrobatic Arts, Pole (Erotic Dance/Exotic, Lyrical and Pole 202) at Tantra Fitness, and Lyra at PFIC. For a detailed yoga or dance CV, please inquire.
