I first discovered the physical practice of yoga asana in 2008, but while living in a yoga intentional community in 2015, I learned that yoga was so much more than postures we practice on our mats and how to incorporate its principles into daily life.

In 2018, I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training with an Ashtanga base, which emphasized postural alignment. From this foundation, we learned class formats for Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative. Adaptive techniques were also learned to create gentle, all-levels classes and basic prenatal posture modifications. I then spent a year mentoring under a senior yoga instructor, Donna Schnoor, who had 20 years of teaching experience at that time. I completed my 300 hour yoga teacher training in 2019, with an emphasis on therapeutic yogic management to address a person’s mental/physical/emotional health. This was a 30-day immersive training based on Ayurvedic principles that included nutrition and creating programs for the doshas. After becoming a 500 RYT, I received two trauma-informed yoga certifications and a sound healing certification as part of my continued education.

In addition to being a yoga teacher, I am a wife and a mother who has seen every MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movie with her now adult son! I love to hike, travel (of course!), sing, dance, read, learn new things, and simply enjoy this experience called life.
