I am a 42 years old mother of a 17 years old boy who's life is all about health and training. Even though I occupy a Management position in Human Resources as my full time job, my real passion has been all about moving and training for almost a decade now. My husband and I are known to be two fitness junkies, we live to train so we've made the eat-sleep and move our family Mantra. This lifestyle has became for us just as important as breathing or eating. No matter where we are in the world, even when we are on vacations, we must find a way to move in order to really enjoy our time!
As a previous runner, I discovered CrossFit in 2015 and literally became addicted to not only the sport itself but everything around. Being at the gym every single day 365 days a year and sometimes even twice, having a hard time ''accepting'' my head coach's recommendation to take a rest day, I quickly became strongly hooked to that unique adrenalin boost post workout not to mention all the Community who also became a second family very fast with all the time spent at the gym. I also did few CrossFit competition for fun.
Spending so much time at the gym had its downside, I wasn't resting enough and pushed my body too far which ended-up in two serious injuries(one on my right leg and the other one on my left shoulder) both requiring surgeries more specifically 3 for the leg and one for the shoulder. Obvisously this was'nt easy times, both physically and mentally speaking for someone who needed to move sooooo badly, but even then, I never quit, as soon as I was out of the hospital I always found alternative to still keep moving, adapting and/or modifying movements which really ended-up paying off, helping me heal faster, and not to mention forcing me to build smarter training form(moving with a purpose ;)) and habits.
This is also when I started focusing more on form, nutrition and scaling alternatives. When Covid started I had no other choice than to transform my garage into a home gym. I started to do my own programming which I discovered I really enjoyed doing and became in even a better shape than pre-Covid.
I now have my own full gym at home and do at least one training a day at home but still need to see my training partners and miss the Community. So I decided to take my level 1 CrossFit Training Certificate to start coaching. I obtained my Online Certificate in May last year. I didn't have lots of time to invest to take on coaching CrossFit on a regular basis at the Gym, but there was an ''Engine'' class which definitely needed some love so I offered to take it over and do it ''my way''. This is a volunteer initiative, being part of the gym for so long I became part of the family, so this isn't a ''job'' for me and wasn't looking for compensation. I just REALLY needed something to make feel that I am doing my part into the ''Health and Fitness World and Community'' helping others getting in better shape while HAVING FUN!!!! There are no words strong enough to express the coaching satisfaction I get when I see someone smiling, laughing while also pushing their limits at the same time and being so proud and satisfied of themselves.
Come and join me! I promise we"ll have a blast!! Let's move with purpose under the
