Marcella Piersol

Marcella J. Piersol, recently retired after a 22-year career with the Los Angeles Police Department, where she attained the rank of lieutenant. During her career she was the captain of the departments long distance running team and had the opportunity to travel and compete nationally as well as internationally in running events. She was recognized as the Athlete of the Year for the entire department in 1992 and was awarded the Senior Athlete of the Year award in 2002. Currently, she uses her strong competitive athletic background, coupled with her extensive teaching skills and dedication to the fitness industry, to provide a well rounded and motivating cycle class for several local health clubs as well as operates her own personal training business.  She is well adapted to teach in any setting to any level of fitness!!  She enjoys the outdoors and surfs, SUPS, conducts beach camp fitness classes and coaches a high school cross country and track team.
