- Ilana Torres
Ilana’s interest in yoga was piqued as a young child, as she watched her mother do yoga off of VCR tapes. Throughout high school and college she practiced yoga on and off, focusing primarily on running and powerlifting. She ran a half marathon in high school and while in college, competed at 2 local and 2 national USAPL powerlifting competitions with Rutgers’ Powerlifting Team! Because of this, she is well-versed in many kinds of strength training as well as recovery techniques. During COVID, as gyms were closed, she took this time to dive deeper into yoga and meditation. She attended Balanced Planet Yoga’s 200 hour YTT in 2021, graduating that June and jumped right into BPY’s 50 hour Yin YTT, graduating in July of 2021. Since then, she continued her education in Bhakti, trauma informed, and metaphysical yoga at Palo Santo Yoga in July 2022, and she is currently working on her 300 hour through My Vinyasa Practice. She is constantly learning more on her own, at studios, and from her students! Ilana loves teaching a powerful vinyasa flow combined with juicy stretches.
