  Hi Im Amy! My yoga journey began in my early twenties when exploration and curiosity brought me to the mat, where I found a different way to connect to myself, I had not experienced before. By tapping into my body, mind and spirit I felt better. My whole life had changed, I was more at ease and had tools to get me through tough times. Yoga has helped be able to cope with everyday obstacles by learning how important the breath is, the practice of moving the body, and quieting the mind. I have always found the body to be amazing and miraculous when given the right tools. Being a Massage Therapist by trade, I have educated my clients on the many benefits of yoga and encourage them to utilize this practice to assist in releasing fascia (muscle tension) throughout the body. I have personally witnessed and experienced the power of yoga when dealing with performance injuries and post recovery. This inspiration and excitement to want to learn more brought me to 200 Hr YTT at Devanadi School of Yoga and Wellness in 2019. After that I soon I realized I had just scratched the surface of Yoga and there was still so much more to learn and now am enrolled in Azitala 300 Hr YTT. Yoga has been life changing for me and I want that for anyone and everyone who wants to learn and practice. The experience of Yoga is unique to everyone, but we all walk away changed every time we step off the mat.
