I have a mission help other women who are pre-diabetic and/or overweight with low energy like I was. Going through my journey back to health I became a nutrition coach and fitness instructor. I've learned the importance of nutrition and exercise to be my best. I've been a nutrition coach for 4 years and a Zumba instructor for 5 years.
I stumbled on to my mission while going through some of my mom's books and notes in her office after she passed away. After we lost her, my health wasn't the priority it should have been. What I learned from the treasures that I found put me on the right path to not only regaining my health but reversing the diagnosis of being pre-diabetic.
At first I tried everything just to lose some weight. Nothing worked!! I just couldn't live with drinking shakes and boring exercise. I couldn't quit because I knew that if I went into full blown diabetes the battle would be even harder and the risk of losing a limb, high blood pressure and heart issues would be higher than they already were.
Determined to figure this out I became obsessed with learning about nutrition and exercise. I took courses, boot camps, read and studied like crazy! I finally figured out what my body needed to get back in balance. It wasn't easy. It took a while...
But, I did it!! I feel AMAZING!! I am pain free, active, work full time, enjoy time with my kids, family and able to play with my new grandbaby!
Now I coach other ladies on how to use nutrition and exercise to reach the healthiest version of themselves. They're lowering their weight, conquering cravings, lowering blood sugar and no longer in danger of being diabetic.
