I have been active my whole life. I danced Ballet and Jazz and also was in Acrobats. Baseball was my sport of choice as well. I started teaching fitness in 1987. I worked at a few Fitness Clubs, but mainly a club called Fitness World/Steve Nash Sports Club. I teach many styles of classes including,Tabata, Bosu, Hi Low, Step, Bootcamp, Kickboxing, Strength Training, Cycle, Yoga, Barre, and HIIT. I really enjoy the variety of styles, but mostly enjoy Tabata, Strength, Bootcamp, Yoga, Kickoxing. I also have my Personal Trainers Certificate and have Personal Trained for a number of years. I competed in Sport Aerobics and Fitness Competitions from 1998 to 2012. I placed 1st in Fitness at the BC Championships (BCABBA) in 2010, 2011, and 2012. I placed 2nd at the National Fitness Championships in Winnipeg in 2012. I have recently started a YouTube Channel, Workouts by Deb, and teach different styles of fitness on my channel. I have been teaching Special Needs Children at an Elementary School for the last 10 years. I love working out and being outdoors, so the treat of being able to teach fitness outside or at a resort is very appealing to me. I also like to run and hike with my dog.
