Elizabeth Martin

I began my yoga journey in the early 1990's and completed my hatha yoga 200 hour teacher's training in 1994 through The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre. Since then I have explored other yoga styles with teachers; Rod Stryker, Seane Corn, Michael Stone, Richard Freeman and Kaila Kukla. I presently continue with my yogic studies taking Yoga Alliance recognized workshops. 

Yoga has been my passion for over 35 years as it has enriched all facets of my life. I continue my yogic path both as an avid student and a teacher. I currently hold private one on one classes with students and can provide references. 

I am also exploring fitness programs in Essentrics with Miranda Esmonde-White, this form of exercise focuses on healthy aging using slow paced gentle workouts; stretching to increase flexibility, strength, range of motion and create relief and healing for chronic pain and stiffness.

As I age, my fitness goals are to stay healthy and active and to share my knowledge of movement and love of yoga with others. My yoga practice is now driven by spirituality, philosophy, energetics and the knowledge of the powerful impact yoga has on my life and the world around me.
