Hi, I'm Jacqueline, a group fitness instructor certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE). At the age of 10, I discovered my passion for sports. Particularly short distance running, basketball, and track and field. I competed at a young age in different youth competitions across Switzerland. I became a Youth Sport Trainer to gain more technical knowledge for track and field and gymnastics in 2007. In addition, while working as a police officer in Zurich for five years, I was one of the few female assistant coaches for the local police department between 2011-2013 teaching spinning, TRX and strength conditioning classes.
When I moved to the United States in 2013, I competed as a track and field athlete for City College of San Francisco. In 2014 and 2015, I competed in the Long Jump and the Heptathlon at the California Community College Championships in Sacramento and Los Angeles. During this time, I decided to become a certified group fitness instructor and share my experience and passion, which I have acquired over my 15 years in fitness and athletics.
Today, I offer online and outdoor classes for all fitness levels. My classes combine exercises from my time as an athlete and technical knowledge acquired through my studies. I bring teaching experience in Body Toning, HIIT, TRX and Spinning classes and teach 2-3 times per week to classes with up to 20 participants.
Besides my work as a freelance instructor, I hold a Masters Degree in International Relations and have worked for the Swiss Government and currently as a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist for a global financial firm. In my free time I enjoy travelling, watching documentaries, dancing and cooking. I speak fluently German, English, French and some Spanish and Italian.
Looking forward to get people moving during their vacation!
Best,
Jacqueline
