I love teaching yoga, pranayama (breathwork), and meditation techniques. I’m a certified Hatha Yoga teacher from Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center; I regularly practice hot yoga, pranayama, meditation, and Ayurveda.
I have been teaching for CorePower Yoga's multiple locations in the greater Seattle area. Prior to CorePower yoga I taught yoga and pranayama at Oxygen Yoga & Fitness in Vancouver, BC.
I grew up in northern India, so learning and practicing yoga at neighborhood temples, ashrams, and during my physical education classes at elementary/high school was a routine. My practice paused with my relocation to the the United States. However, in 2011 I went back to my roots and reignited my yoga practice and I've been committed to it since then. I'm not a scripted teacher; I consider myself a practitioner first as strong practitioners make better teachers.
Come join me for a yoga class focusing on traditional Hatha Yoga, Pranayama (breath work), and Sadhana (guided meditation). You’re in for a treat without traveling to India as I will teach you authentic hatha yoga along with breathing techniques of Bhramari, Kapalbhati and Anuloma Viloma. This class is designed to methodically work and benefit every part of your body and mind for optimum health. Class is open to all levels; just come with an open mind. Bring your yoga mat, towel, and water bottle.
