Jesse began her yoga journey in 2008 during a prolonged recovery from chronic back pain. While her practice initially focused on the physical benefits, Jesse has maintained practice largely because of the spiritual benefits it offered: more patience, better sleep, and a more accepting attitude toward life's constant changes. Jesse took her initial 500 hour training in 2015 with Modo Yoga International and advanced her knowledge with restorative, vinyasa, and yin yoga trainings over the next few years. Teaching yoga awakened a deep desire to spend more time helping students realign their bodies and find the strength and stability needed to reach deeper levels of relaxation. Jesse took a hiatus from teaching yoga to attend physical therapy school, earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020. Her yoga practice, both physical and spiritual, helped her through the past few years as she continued to hold space for herself while many studios were forced to close. Jesse returned to group classes at Melting Point Yoga in Huntersville, NC, in late 2021. She felt immediately connected to the studio community and began teaching again several months after establishing a practice. She has enjoyed the reawakening of her yoga practice and connection to creating space for others to practice as well. Jesse continues to work as a physical therapist in the Charlotte, NC area.
