I began my fitness career in the Navy in 1993 when I was asked to assist some Navy Seals in the aircrew exercise and swim program at DLI in Monterey, CA (I know, tough duty station, right?). I soon discovered that I loved teaching fitness. Later, I helped establish a fitness program at a new Navy Military Intelligence command in Fort Gordon, GA. When my contract with the Navy was ending, I decided that my heart was not with my primary job in Military Intelligence, but with my secondary job as a fitness coordinator. I got out of the Navy so I could be with my small children and pursue a career in the fitness/wellness world. In early 1999 I started working as a personal trainer in a health club and immediately found that I was drawn to clients that had injuries and health issues as I have had my share of injuries as an athlete. I followed my passion and throughout the years I’ve gained a lot of knowledge through education and experience. I love to share my experience and knowledge with others. Currently I teach Senior fitness, Pilates group classes with and without Pilates Equipment and I am a Master Pilates Trainer and Mentor-- I teach the teachers and I absolutely love it!
