Darren Levine

Originally from Southern California, I started practicing yoga as a college student at UC Santa Cruz in the mid 1990's. In my early 20's, I was a competitive cyclist and triathlete and until a training accident in 1996 which forced me to turn my physical and spiritual attention to yoga and meditation and ancient wisdom studies. Growing up in a Jewish home, I decided to explore my Jewish roots and eventually became an ordained rabbi. I currently serve a progressive congregation in New York City where we explore all types of pathways for well-being in the pursuit of Positive Judaism. I have three sons who are all competitive athletes and my wife is affiliate with Teacher's College at Columbia University.
