My parents opened a gym when I was 12 years old and from then on I was hooked. I started teaching classes at 16, became a personal trainer at 18, went to BYU and earned my degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Spanish at age 22. I joined the Les Mills TAP team at 22 and started training, assessing, and presenting to new instructors. I have had the amazing opportunity to be a manager at 2 different clubs, and have held nearly every role possible in a fitness club throughout my career. In 2015 I accepted a position leading and managing the TAP team for Les Mills United States. In 2020, I started PHIT Society with my friend Nikki Snow, and currently we focus on social media and a weekly podcast to share thoughts and ideas, educating both fitness professionals and fitness enthusiasts to create a positive relationship with fitness and challenge old norms that are not beneficial. In 2023, I left Les Mills after 13 years and started a new chapter with Burnalong, a platform that empowers health and wellness professionals to extend their content to all types of bodies.
I feel called to build a career that reframes fitness and wellness to get rid of shame and replace it with joyful, intuitive relationships with our bodies that empowers each of us to live authentically and embrace the best version of ourselves.
