Hello! My name is Carly (she/her) and I'm a board certified massage therapist and 500hr registered yoga teacher.
Developing a consistent yoga practice has transformed my life - I've gone from regularly feeling depressed and overwhelmed to now feeling more grounded and at peace. As I experienced the positive impact of bringing wellness practices into my life I realized the great need for sharing these tools with others; my passion is in co-creating a more harmonious world through sharing the healing arts of yoga and therapeutic touch. It's my intention that my offerings are always mindful, trauma-sensitive, body-positive, and considerate of the unique individuals I'm working with at the moment.
As a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher, I guide a slower-paced Hatha class to provide you with moments of stillness & one-pointed focus (dharana). My intention is to honor the traditions of yoga by gently sharing the timeless lessons of yogic philosophy, and I always aim to offer a physically accessible practice appropriate for participants.
I achieved my initial 200hr training through Bhav Brigade and Dr. Diane Malaspina’s comprehensive program and my 300hr training through Susanna Barkataki's Embody Yoga's Roots program; additional training includes Restorative Yoga, Meditation & Pranayama, Bridging the Practice of Yoga and Modern Healthcare, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Introduction to Yoga for Addiction Recovery.
As an avid participant in continuing education, I'm currently participating in a 200hr Kundalini yoga training with Yoga Means Union as well as Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness with David Treleaven.
