Alexa Stevens is a certified yoga teacher native to Richmond, Virginia who has been floating about the movement scene for most of her life. Drawn to activities that marry the expression of movement with the bliss of sound, Alexa has been bounding through life searching for the perfect blended practice that yoga introduced as an alternative to segmented activity.
Primarily a fiery practitioner, Alexa was trained at The Yoga Dojo in Richmond, VA, and loves sequencing more challenging elements into her flow in her self practice which reflects throughout her classes. Fusing self expression with asana alignment, classes are intended to lead the student to a place of self awareness unaware to them prior to the practice. Alexa hopes to deliver a sense of compassion and gratitude to each individual, creating a space for mindfulness and free expression each time we meet at the mat.
Alexa loves moving freely, sequencing classes both within and outside of the common Namaskar practices. Blending hip openers through backbends, sequencing inversions and arm balances designed to draw attention away from the self and internalize awareness, finding a return to that energetic connectivity within each of us.
