I have had a passion for health and fitness since high school. In high school, I played varsity tennis and transitioned to group fitness classes and the gym throughout college. As a child, I struggled with being overweight and took an interest in nutrition around the same time. I pursued a BS in Nutrition and MS in Nutrition and Food Science to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. I now work in healthcare guiding others on how to fuel their bodies to be healthy and strong. While I love my job, being in healthcare can be a tasking job, especially during COVID. As an essential worker, I was working long hours and unsure of how to keep myself and others safe. I was feeling anxious all the time… until I found cycling. Everything I had built up from the day, I was able to channel into my workout through choreographed movements and loud music. While I had done different exercises before, I had never found something that gave me the same kind of relief like cycling. After attending countless classes, I decided to become certified in cycling so I could help others feel the same euphoric feelings I had after each class. After getting my cycling certification, I then went on to get yoga and barre certifications as well. Fitness will always be important in my life and I can’t wait for this opportunity
