I started my fitness career in 1985.  After I graduated from law school, I decided to start taking aerobics classes at a local gym.  Having always been musically inclined,  I became very enamored with taking classes.  By chance one day, the coordinator asked me if I wanted to lead a class.  That was all it took.  I became an instructor and soon became a popular instructor.  As l Iuck would have it, I met my beautiful wife when we were teaching at the same gym.  Almost 40 years later, we still love working out together.  She's my biggest fan and my hardest critic.

Since then, working to hone my skills, I have taught at most all the gym chains around.  I joke that if there's a gym chain in Dallas that has gone out of business, I probably taught there.  Lol

I started out teaching hi/lo choreographed aerobics.  When "bench" class came out, I was on the ground floor as step aerobics blew up on the scene.  Step is absolutely still my favorite format.  I currently teach two to three classes a week.  I just love it.

I got certified in kickboxing when it came out.  It's a lot of fun and a hard workout.

I got certified as a personal trainer as part of my fitness journey.  I have trained with champion bodybuilders which is no lightweight workout.

I teach a killer strength training class calling on all I've learned as well as everything I can find to keep exercise fresh and effective.

A few times while on vacation,  my wife and I have ound up commandeering the exercise classes, just to give the entertainers a break.

I teach group ex because I love it.  I work hard to create a great experience for my people.  Yes, they're working hard, but I try to provide a fun atmosphere for them to enjoy.
