With 30 years in the corporate industry, I have acquired many skills over the years. My skills vary from business management, marketing, design (graphic & interior), product/category management, account management, procurement, project management, visual display and research & development. I have extensive experience in each of the fields.

Marketing Strategy, Plans, Budgets and Marketing Initiatives – 3.5 years’ experience in large retail company. Develop a marketing strategy. Supported and facilitated development and implementation of national marketing initiatives. Plan and administer the company’s Marketing budget, researched, and reported on, market and channel opportunities.

Brand Marketing and Communication – 5 years’ experience

Managed and developed the company’s brands. Managed brand alignment across various divisions and harmonise and integrate seasonal strategies for all brands. Managed day to day activities and outputs of creative and all other marketing communications agencies and service providers.

New Product Development (NPD) – 14 years’ experience

Design as per research findings, supported, and guided in terms of segmentation, channels to market and product development, created and produced communications used in support of new products, channels, new business activities. Done market research to inform business decisions for new product development and facilitated and developed and launched new products.

Develop marketing / sales capability – 5 years’ experience

Developed presentations and reports to the management team. Developed training manuals for Sales, technical and related personnel. Continuous postmortems of projects to identify snags and opportunities for further planning,

Procurement responsibility, working with the Marketing/VM Head – 7 years’ experience. Brief suppliers for procurement of services and goods. Manage the contracts associated with suppliers. Ensure that the divisions undertake accurate & timeous capitalization of marketing assets (shop fitting, displays, POS) Supplier management – research, sourcing, vetting, onboarding

Account Management - Managed 5 accounts in a large local retailer – 8 years’ experience. Have excellent people skills and intuitive to customer’s business needs and develop customized strategies and plans for each client to allow them to meet their business goals quickly and efficiently. Strong business acumen and a proven track record of maintaining long-term business and mutually- profitable relationships with clients

Project Management – 7 years’ experience. Project managed national rollouts of current and new developments to stores where I worked as a single point of contact for over 10+ suppliers, including shopfitters and electricians., problem solving and troubleshooting to ensure deadlines are met for a seamless launch.

Yoga Instructor - I have been practicing yoga for 7 years, and have now completed the 200hr teacher training course in Rishikesh, India. I am a vegan and an adept cook. Yoga is my passion and I am keen on spreading this knowledge of well being to the world.
